Barbara Gerwit started her fashion career at the very early age of twelve after her mother presented her with
a birthday gift of a home sewing machine. From that moment on, she decided to dedicate her life to fashion
and later went on to become one of America 's foremost clothing designers.
She met her husband Ken who was a clothing salesman and they both decided to gamble and invest their last five hundred dollars in the year 1976'. They created a company that grew to become one of America 's top brands
in the resort industry. This was the beginning of the American dream for them.
Barbara Gerwit has designed this resort collection that is made up of hand blocked imported printed Kurtas,
hand made beaded and embroidered tunics and tops, and other related items. Her clothing is worn from casual daytime shopping on into the balmy tropical nights in
restaurants at fine resorts, hotels, and>cruise ships.
Her light and airy fabrics are made of brightly colored cotton lawn, cotton Swiss voile, and raw silk and are constructed for easy care. She has reached her goal in presenting her new and exciting high quality resort collection at prices that are very affordable.
